Getting rid of those ridges and seams on solid lattices can be a pain. Try this.

Note: This was actually done in Bryce, another approach is to use an image editor which I may describe in other longer tutorials.
The reason I show how to import a picture here is to make newer users aware that almost anything can be modeled in Bryce using pictures applied to a solid lattice or terrain.
