C4D Knife Tool 007 - Making Live Selections
(As opposed to dead selections???)
Hold down the Shift key and click to select multiple window panes. Do not select
the 'frame' sections at this time.
You only want the simple faces that will be used to make the glass windows.
Split is also a deceiving term. What it actually does is
Copy
the selected items and make them a new independent
Group.
This is a very efficient way to make perfect fit polys\faces but you have to
remember that the original cube has not been affected ; )
Easy enough to take care of that next...
